Anton Ferdinand was widely renound as the next big prospect in English football a few years back. Last year was somewhat successfull for Anton and his team west ham as they experianced a great first season back in the premiership and a place in the fa cup final after a few years floundering in the championship.

Alas unlike his older brother Rio, Anton hasn't experienced a great season so far and it doesn't seem like it will get any better. Firstly Anton isn't known to be the brightest floodlight in the stadium, one of his uplifting and motivational speeches during a match earlier in the season was "lets win, lets win, lets not lose." His recent performances have led him to be known as an imbecile, by his own fans! his recent spate of bad performances during the earlier part of the season led the new manager (curbs) to splash out on three new defenders thus relegating Anton to the bench. His high wages and lack of commitment have also led to a lot of crtiticism and he has had the windows smashed in his bentley. In October hes was charged with assault after a fracas in london.

What seems to have been the last straw for the West Ham management was last week when Anton asked for a few days off to visit his sick grandmother in the isle of wight. He was seen In south Carolina celebrating his Birthday with his "posse" at a nightcub which had a "Ballbreakers" theme? This was a few days before a match, when asked he said that he visted her on his way home. Perhaps that was beside the point.

It's seems almost certain that Anton will leave west Ham at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see who actually signs him, but no matter where he goes he will no doubt stay classy. In the wise words of the legend himself when asked which basketball players he respected he replied "I eh.. Like Kobe. Kobe is eh...gud."
